Fountain Art Fair - 2013

I am very excited to be participating in this year's Fountain Art Fair being held at the Lexington Armory, site of the famous 1913 Armory Exhibition on it's 100 year anniversary. I will be in the "Greyegg Presents" booth with some of the great up and coming New York City artists.

At the same time I will have a piece in Ground.Arts 'Home', a children's art charity project at 526 W 26th in Chelsea.

Orchard Windows Gallery hosts Duality of Sand, a Solo 

Exhibition by Max Noy

New York, NY – November 17 – Orchard Windows Gallery is pleased to present "Duality of Sand", a solo show by New York-based photographer Max Noy. Images are on view from December 10th to 16th. Artist reception will be held on Monday, December 10th, 7-9pm.

The still life photographs on display in Duality of Sand depict weathered natural wood fencing along a beach at the state of being nearly buried by the sand. In this state, the sand obstructs and obscures the structure’s intended purpose and renders it an abstract object. The characteristics of the weathered wood and wire are enhanced by the proximity to the sand and the geometric compositions of the sand waves complement the planks. The late afternoon light casts long shadows adding another, parallel, dimension. The series focuses on the tension and interplay between these elements exploring found installations of various sizes, complexity, and states of decay.

About Max Noy: Max Noy was born in Moscow, Russia, grew up on the West Coast, studied at University of Washington in Seattle, and currently lives and works in New York City.  He exhibits widely around New York City area.

Max & Joe Show

I am showing some photography at my favorite coffee place -- Joe's. They love street photography and I love them, it's perfect. Show will be up from August 16 to September 30th at the Joe's on 23rd and 9th Ave in Chelsea. The reception is on the 22nd between 6-8pm. Stop by and say hi.
